how to print your newsletter

There are various ways to print your newsletter. The one you choose will depend on your own personal circumstances.

1) Print it yourself on your own printer

If you plan to print only a few newsletters - under 100, for example - it is often best to print them on your own computer. By doing this, you have the flexibility to print them whenever you want. You also have the flexibility to make changes to individual newsletters, perhaps to personalize them to particular clients.

If you have a printer that can accept 11x17 inch paper you can use it to print your newsletter on one sheet of paper, which is then folded in half. You will need to adjust the settings in the Print dialog box (the box that comes up after you ask the file to print) within Word. Make sure that the size of paper you have selected is correct and that the printer is set to Manual Duplex, which will help ensure the pages print in the right order. Please contact us if you need any help with this.

If your printer does not accept large paper, you can still print it on regular letter-size paper. The 2-page newsletter will easily print using both sides of the paper. If you wish to use the 4-page version, you can print it on two pieces of paper.

2) Print it at your local copy shop

Your local copy shop (Kinko's, for example) will be able to easily handle printing your newsletter, either in color or black and white. Of course, black and white printing will be considerably cheaper. You can usually send them the Word file electronically and they will print from that. Your local copy shop can also fold the newsletters for you, if you wish.
